Nicole Moen
Nicole is drawn to use her skills
and talents to influence a shift to a sustainable community and world.
In her work she explores the web of connections among initiatives that
advance environmental sustainability and urban re-vitalization, integrative
health models, a vibrant arts community and strong social structures.
A synthesist at heart, Nicole says, “there’s an imperative to draw together
people from all areas of our community and society to learn to co-create
a future in which we all want to live.”
Nicole has a BA in English and French, and a diverse background in project
management, education, event planning, integrative health, and the arts.
She has worked in government and not-for-profit sectors, as well as
educational, corporate and entrepreneurial contexts. Most recently she
spent over 5 years as Executive Director for the Association of Complementary
and Integrative Physicians of BC.
As an event producer Nicole’s strengths are in visioning, reading and
setting tone, building relationships, developing community and coalitions,
communications, sponsorship development, volunteer coordination, on-site
event management, and group facilitation.
Nicole is intrigued by Wisdom spiritual traditions, contemplative and
inquiry practices, and meditation. She lives in Victoria, BC and still
has an affinity for prairies where she grew up.
